Waukee Leadership Institute Class of 2026

The 2026 Waukee Leadership Institute class partnered with the Waukee Community Schools Foundation to support Dispensing Literacy, an initiative that provides book vending machines to elementary schools with the greatest literacy needs. The project was inspired by the opportunity to address the growing number of students reading below grade-level benchmarks by making books more accessible and creating excitement around reading. This initiative aims to foster a lifelong love of literacy by giving students the opportunity to build their own home libraries while promoting confidence, educational equity, and academic success.
